Throughout history, scientists have played prominent roles as mediators in international conflicts.

 

In today’s international political climate, scientists represent important partners for policymakers and diplomats, due to their analytical and evidence-based thinking and training.

Science diplomacy allows for the establishment of international scientific collaborations, bringing together laboratories in different parts of the world and promoting development and innovation by connecting and training scientists worldwide.
